Jake Woods started his apprenticeship in 2005, straight after graduating from year 12. By Jake’s 3rd and 4th year he was testing and running electrical projects with his supervisor guiding him.

 

In 2009, Jake became a qualified electrician running projects and training apprentices ensuring their work was completed professionally, promptly and tested to ensure Australia electrical standards were followed. This meant all electrical works were safe!

 

Jake, then moved to Darwin where he was working for an electrical company teaching  3rd year and 1st year apprentices. Jake, was trusted by the company due to his knowledge and skills to help the apprentices qualify.

 

Since his time in Darwin he has been working on a range of different projects continuing to hone and develop his knowledge and skills as an electrician.

 

Jake, decided to start Psalms Electrical so that he can offer his years of experience and skills to his own customers.

Jake’s experience lies in domestic electrical works, with his specialty in replacing household electrical needs such as, replacing cooking appliances ovens and hot plates, replacing hot water systems so you can shower and bath comfortably, replacing or upgrading lighting and wall switched fans and remote fans, faulty power point’s and light switches. Jake ensures that he will replace and test thoroughly all electrical devices. Jake, also is able to test and tag to Australian electrical legislation for businesses so they are up to date and aligned with code.

 

Given the recent legislation surrounding smoke alarms for rental properties having to be interconnected investors can rest easy that he can maintain, repair and install these. As of 2027, there are further legislative change thats will be put in place across all households in Australia where you will need interconnected smoke alarms, so keep in mind Jake can install these for you.

 

For your peace of mind Jake has worked previously for a very large and reputable electrical company where he gained a lot of understanding and experience as to the precise location of where they need to be located and interconnecting them correctly so they communicate with each other.
